At 227 m over the sea level, the ancient Tortoreto Alto looks down to the coast and gets illuminated by thousands of lights during the historical event “Palio del Barone” at August 16^th and during numerous other festivities.

The historical center with Terravecchia and the Clock Tower, the district “Terranova” with its narrow lanes and the medieval hamlet testify the pre-medieval roots of the village.
